Lake Erie Lodge

Review by a couple who look for the cheaper options. My husband and I stayed there the second weekend in October. Check in was very easy (although restorative work was being done in the lobby) Our room was bigger than most we’ve stayed in the area. If your like us, navigating cable TVs can be hard, usually a few channels to watch during your stay.They have on demand and it all worked!! Bonus points. The room smelled fresh and was clean. Bathroom was clean as well but the hot water never really got hot. With a wall mounted hair dryer and big mirror with surround lighting it was great. The heater/air conditioner had a “constant fan” option for all of us that can’t sleep without white noise. We will rebook our stay in the future.

The room was clean but no coffee pot, McDonald's is right beside it though. Continental breakfast wasn't served until after 8:00 am. (we were up at 6:00).

While it appears they are renovating, it is an excellent in location and service. The people who run the lodge are absolute sweethearts and will bend over backwards to make your stay welcoming! Our family will definitely use them in the future for our trips to Erie! Suggestions: small fridge in rooms and a small coffee pot and post your phone number on the room keys or a plaque in the room for easier communication if needs arise

I liked the rooms very much, they were clean and updated. It definitely is more in the motel type, but very well kept. The only thing is they ask for a $50. deposit "no big deal" it's supposed to go back on after the room is checked but I was there Sunday it is now Wednesday evenings and the deposit hasn't been given back yet. I slept there, showered and left so I hope it's back on my card by the end of the week. Then I'll change my 3⭐ to a 5⭐. As promised 5 ⭐

This is our 2nd year coming back. The staff is very accommodating and the rooms are updated and clean. What we like most about it is that you can sit outside your room, swim and it's a great place for the kids to enjoy hanging out to play. Actually met up with another family we met here last year because we all made friends. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere with a lake vibe.

I booked this from 7.3.25-7.7.25. I booked this bc there was no 2 beds available at the other hotel that we normally stay at. The staff was helpful & explained everything. The room & beds were clean. Had no sight of bugs at all. Overall, the place was clean. The pool was clear, however, it did need the use of the skimmer at least once a day, but overall it wasn’t bad. The front office was clean & tidy. The whole time that we (my 2 children & family members) were there, we had no trouble with the other guests or any type of trouble at all. It’s conveniently located minutes to the Erie Zoo, Waldermere, Presque Isles & other attractions. The room contained a microwave, a mini fridge, air conditioner, TV along with free Wi-fi. Overall, the experience was good!

We are having a wonderful stay here. The rooms are clean and updated. The pool is open. The staff is vey friendly. It is also in a great location. And it has been very peaceful and relaxing. We look forward to coming back.

The place was exactly what I would expect. Decent price for a basic room. Calling it a continental breakfast is a bit of a stretch and the room air conditioner was a bit loud but the rooms were clean and relatively recently updated. Pool was perfect for the kids and the proximity to Waldameer and the state park was phenomenal. Would definitely stay there again.
